LCPA Privacy Policy
The Society of Louisiana CPAs (LCPA) knows how important it is to protect the information provided by our members and visitors to our website. The LCPA has adopted the following information management guidelines, which are based on our existing policies for protecting members’ privacy. These guidelines have been developed with the understanding that they may change as our online business model continues to evolve. Changes to the guidelines will be posted on this page.
When ordering, subscribing or registering for a product (including educational programs, CPA Locator Service, forums, or other special services) on LCPA’s website, you may be asked to provide personal information such as:
- Name
- CPA license number
- Business address
- Home address
- Telephone number
- Fax number
- Credit card information
- Information about your company and your position with your company
To update your member record with this and other information, you may use the member profile update form located under the Members, My Account section of this website.
The LCPA uses “cookies” to help manage the security of our website and make it easier for members to access the site. The LCPA will use the information collected for internal purposes only, such as statistical analyses to assess interest in specific areas of our website.
The LCPA does not release addresses to any third party. The LCPA reserves the right, without further notice to members, to share physical mailing addresses and phone numbers with third parties who may use the information to market products and services. The LCPA will not have any liability for the collection, disclosure and usage of personally identifiable information by such third parties. To request that your name be removed from any third party mailing list purchase, please e-mail Henry Sorbet at hsorbet@lcpa.org.
The LCPA has the right to contact members by conventional or other means using their personal information to keep them informed of LCPA issues, products and services. The LCPA will remove any member’s name (and his or her personal information) from any mailing list upon request.
Members opting out of LCPA’s electronic mailing list will be excluded from receiving Society s, chapter notices, Special Tax Alerts, and notices of possible changes in dates or times of CPE courses for which they may be registered. To request that your name be removed from LCPA e-mail lists, please e-mail Henry Sorbet at hsorbet@lcpa.org.
The LCPA is not responsible for content or policies that may be associated with any website or online company to which the LCPA may be lnked. The LCPA provides discussion forum for members and is not responsible for content, discussions or opinions expressed by participants.

LCPA Return/Cancellation Policy
The LCPA’s standard nonmember surcharges, late registration fees, and cancellation, transfer and substitution charges apply as applicable to continuing education purchases, including those made using a credit card. For details, refer to http://www.lcpa.org/CPERegRules.html .
