Accountant

In house, full time position with the Caddo Levee District in Shreveport, LA.

Primary Responsibilities

• Payroll
• Management of bank accounts and investment portfolio
• Prepare and manage annual budget
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Coordinate annual audit
• Management of taxes
• Manage accounting software, reconciliations, adjust entries, etc.
• Prepare financial reports and forecast
• Oversee purchasing activities
• Other task as assigned

Position Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting
• MBA is preferred but not required
• Minimum of five years of accounting experience
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, QuickBooks, Excel and other commonly used applications
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
